Rich Lindner
Testimonial by Letter of Laurie Lindner regarding how Rich Lindner has benefited from his training with United Tai Chi:
"Dear United Tai Chi: I want to express my sincere appreciation for your efforts in improving and enhancing my husband's life through Tai Chi. There is a definite improvement in his cognition, focus, balance, and stamina. He has always had a positive outlook on every aspect of life, but the supportive and encouraging environment at the academy, has heightened his state of "awesomeness". To Rich, Tai Chi is more than just a class he attends four days a week. It is a lifestyle. I am so proud of my husband for the progress he has made and the success he has attained. I am grateful to all the instructors, and to Rich's classmates, for the support and encouragement they've shown throughout his recovery from West Nile Virus. Rich and I are very excited to see what the future holds for him at United Tai Chi as he continues his journey to enrich his mind, body and spirit." |

I saw my doctor recently and she was amazed at the change in me. Since enrolling in your classes my blood pressure has dropped and I have lost 20 pounds. No, I have not been dieting. What has happened is I have stopped "stress eating." The breathing exercises and the focus on my energy body have helped to reduce the anxiety I have been under treatment for many years. So, I just want to thank all of you wonderful people at United Tai Chi. You really do make a difference.

I started tai chi at United Tai Chi about 18 months ago. It has made a huge difference in my overall health. My balance is better, I have more stamina, and aches and pains of old age are so much better. My husband started in March during quarantine and 11 weeks later his diabetic numbers have greatly improved. The only change has been tai chi. This studio is the best in Arizona I believe. The instructors know so much and continue to learn so they can keep us at our best.

"I have fibromyalgia (a chronic joint & nerve auto-immune disease) as well as bursitis in both hips, a left-knee replacement and bursitis/arthritis in my right shoulder. The Catch 22 is that movement is what helps these ailments but movement can be painful. I decided to try Tai Chi when I read an article which stated that, if you are older and do no other exercise, you should do Tai Chi. I was hooked after the first class! The movements are slow, purposeful and peaceful. I went everyday. After about six weeks I found that I had more energy, more confidence when I walked, was sleeping better and just simply felt better! You work your core when you breathe and do certain movements. I discovered I was getting a defined waist and I lost a few pounds. I also enjoy the social aspect of Tai Chi. I look forward to going to class every day. At 68 years old, I feel better than I have in about twenty years.
My husband said that he got back the girl her married! He said I just seem happier and more self-assured. He is also glad that I am able to do more physical activities with him without having to spend several days recovering. We were just in Colorado and hiked seven miles at 11,000+ fee elevation. I had no trouble breathing or hiking at that altitude and had no pain afterward. I attributed that directly to the positive effect Tai Chi has made in my muscle strength. My granddaughter also commented that I was happier and more fit. I would tell anyone who wants to make an improvement in his or her mental and physical capabilities to give Tai Chi a try for at least two months. Initially, you might think that the movements aren't enough to make a real difference. But I am living proof that Tai Chi can and will give you the quality of life that you deserve to have at any age, but especially as you get older." |

"I have suffered with severe back problems for many, many years. I have tried everything (physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractors, epidurals, pain meds, muscle relaxers, steroids, etc) with little relief. "Good" days were still a 2 0r 3 on the pain scale. Simple tasks like vacuuming would often leave me in severe pain unable to do anything for days. After only a few months of basic Tai Chi classes, I was able to vacuum and shampoo carpets in my entire home without ANY pain!! I never expected these simple movements would have such an amazing impact in such a short time!
I highly recommend Tai Chi to anyone, no matter their physical limitations. With the support and encouragement from the Master Instructors at United Tai Chi, I am looking forward to progressing in my training." |
